Save Energy while Googling!

Want to help save energy? Interested in taking steps to save power and become more environmentally aware? Check out Blackle, a custom Google Search engine designed to help save energy and power every time you perform a search. Blackle has saved almost a million and a half watt hours since it launched.

From Blackle.com:

“Blackle saves energy because the screen is predominantly black. “Image displayed is primarily a function of the user’s color settings and desktop graphics, as well as the color and size of open application windows; a given monitor requires more power to display a white (or light) screen than a black (or dark) screen.”

It might not seem like a lot, but it adds up. Try Blackle today!
