Have you ever misplaced a file? Left your account logged in? Lost your laptop? These are all security risks which put you, your company, and your family at risk. While risk can’t be perfectly eliminated, there are prudent measures you can take to preserve your business information. When you are giving away or selling your personal computer, always make sure to really delete the contents of the hard drive. If you don’t, you could end up in serious trouble.

Worried about your identity or confidential information? If you only remove files from your desktop, all of your files remain even after deleting them! Just as we offer Data Recovery Services, other people out there could recover your deleted files too. Spybot-S&D offers a file shredder which makes it virtually impossible to recover your deleted information. If you’re throwing away a computer, you should do a secure delete of the entire hard drive if you are able. If you aren’t, you should find someone who is able to. Even a physically destroyed hard drive still contains personal information. The only guarantee for getting rid of files is to use a hard drive wipe or a file shredder. WARNING: You will NEVER be able to recover your files if you use this method.

If you accidentally delete your files, Contact Us for Data Recovery and we’ll do all we can to better the situation.
